Vegan, sustainable and unique "Cortica" cork bridleCork products have long been available as a sustainable alternative to leather outside of equestrian sports. In equestrian sport, however, they are not so widespread. We want to change that now. As an equestrian company, we now offer vegan riding accessories made of cork. We want to leave a sustainable footprint and offer vegan horse lovers an excellent alternative to leather. The products have been developed and tested thoroughly for almost two years, constantly modified and adapted. The result is our sustainable and vegan collection Cortica, consisting of a bridle, reins, chaps and boots. The bridle Cortica has an English flash noseband and an anatomic headpiece. The latter and the nosebands are softly lined with imitation leather. The bridle is adjustable on both sides and the noseband can be removed. The cork oak tree can reach over 300 years of age and is peeled by hand every 12 years or so during its life. This makes the tree more resilient and creates sustainable cork oak forests that prevent soil erosion, fix large amounts of CO2 and provide a very important ecosystem for many rare animals.Durable and uniqueCork fabric, also known as cork leather, is highly tear resistant, durable and water repellent. The cork slabs from the bark are glued together with an organic adhesive to form larger slabs and finely cut. They are then put together like a puzzle and applied to a fabric carrier material, sealed and can finally be made into cork fabric. Like leather, each cork fabric is a very special and unique piece.Easy to care forCare for cork products is as simple as wiping them gently with a damp cloth or sponge.
