The Palisades pack brings the essentials of nature within reach for you and your dog. Our larger volume backpack is designed for multi-day hikes with spacious saddlebags that feature a cross-compression system to carry gear stably and comfortably. The saddlebags attach securely to a chassis with a breathable harness and can be removed at camp to lighten the load for side trips.

Multiple pockets and an external chain store and organise your dog's trekking needs, such as a sleeping system, food, and even two foldable hydration bags that come with the backpack.

It’s recommended that your dog doesn’t carry more than 25% of its body weight, including the weight of the bag and its contents. If your dog is new to dog backpacks, start with a light load and increase as your dog gets used to using the bag.

What's new: The Palisades has a long history in the Ruffwear backpack range, and the updates for this season are inspired by customer feedback. More breathability and flexibility with a moulded, perforated foam chassis; improved fade resistance with new materials; enhanced "flopper stop" system for easier use by stabilising the saddlebags, new hidden pocket layout.
