Invented and designed by PE Sport & Technical to help prevent/reduce swelling, cool tendons after exercise/competition or to treat injuries. PE Sport has had great success in helping sport and race horses with magnetic and infrared technology, combining compression and pressure techniques.
Based on the principle of contouring and shaping, the anatomical design provides cool, cushioned therapeutic treatment to the tendon and fetlock areas. Elastic straps advance the treatment by allowing tension to be applied upon closure, adding an element of compression to intensify the treatment and improve results.
Cold water boots are a brilliant and easy alternative to washing your horse's legs at jet.
They are filled with microcrystals that turn into gel when immersed in water. The gel forms a soft, comfortable cushion against the horse's skin. The anatomical design allows horses to be walked while wearing the boots; there is no need to stand still. Cold water boots are ideal for reducing swelling, cooling tendons after exercise or treating injuries.
USE OF COLD WATER BOOTS AFTER EXERCISE:
After strenuous exercise, cold water boots should be applied for approximately 20 minutes. For a colder treatment, place ice or ice packs in the bucket of water in which the boots are soaked. The colder the water, the colder the boots. For maximum cold effect, place the cold water boots directly into a bag and leave them in the refrigerator for an hour, which will allow for a 3-5 minute premier cold blast on the horse's leg. Never freeze cold water packs.
USE OF COLD WATER BOOTS IN CASE OF INJURY:
Apply cold water boots at least 6-7 times per day and do not use them for more than 20 minutes at a time. After 20 minutes, the heat from the horse's leg will naturally begin to warm the cold water boots.

STORE HORSE BOOTS IN COLD WATER:
When competing or using for injuries for a few days, the boots can be stored in the bucket of water. Once the boots are used, they should be hung to dry, out of direct sunlight. Once dry, they can be stored. When you use the boots again, soak them for an hour to reactivate them.
