Indication: For dehorning calves up to one month old.

Dosage: Apply to wet horns for 1-2 minutes.

Use :

At 10-30 days of age, calves' horns are already palpable. Trim the hair around the horns (diameter: 3 cm). Coat the skin around the horns with a protective lubricant - petroleum jelly or ointment (appropriate pH). Moisten the surface with 1-2 drops of water. Open the pencil and rub the horn intensively for 1-2 minutes. If you follow the instructions and work carefully, you'll only cauterize the area you need. Excessive moistening of the horn is particularly inadvisable. When the skin is rough and folded, finish rubbing.

Keep cared-for calves in a separate stable, and give them special attention.

Warning: Cautery pencil is highly caustic! Use only by qualified personnel. Use protective gloves! Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes.

Premier First aid: Wash affected skin, eyes or mucous membranes with plenty of water jet and seek medical advice immediately.
