Compact internal filter for mechanical and biological filtration of aquariums

The powerful aquarium filter Tetra FilterJet is suitable for aquariums with a volume of 50 to 230 litres, perfectly cleaning the water through both mechanical and biological filtration. It removes dirt particles of all sizes, establishing a biological balance conducive to pure aquarium water. Mechanical filtration eliminates large impurities by sucking up, for instance, mud from the substrate as well as suspended solids like algae and plant debris. However, the nitrifying bacteria in the filter play an even more important role. These beneficial bacteria colonize the filter substrate and break down harmful ammonia and nitrites into nitrates. This is an essential step in the biological filtration process and natural degradation within aquariums. This internal filter is also particularly quiet. The extremely simple installation of the Tetra FilterJet filter allows it to be operational in seconds. Thanks to the adjustable outlet nozzle, the water circulation can be optimally regulated so that the entire aquarium benefits from uniform aeration. Another advantage of the internal aquarium filter Tetra FilterJet is that its filter sponge is very easy to clean, significantly reducing the time spent on filter maintenance. Do not wash the filter material in hot water as it would harm the beneficial bacteria that colonize the filter. Similarly, never use chemical cleaners on the filter. To sustainably protect the bacterial population in the filter, we recommend not cleaning the filter during a partial water change.
