Optimal control of algae: unsightly algae can also hinder the growth of aquarium plants and disrupt its long-term biological balance. Tetra AlguMin* efficiently removes all types of algae but is safe for all inhabitants, plants, and microorganisms in the aquarium when used correctly. Its liquid formula rapidly targets the algae, as the highly concentrated active substance actively combats the metabolism of algae and prevents their proliferation. As the active substance is released immediately and diffuses perfectly in the aquarium water, Tetra AlguMin can quickly treat algae. The product does not discolor the aquarium water. Tetra AlguMin is suitable for all freshwater aquariums. However, it requires that the aquarium is aerated, for example, with an aquarium air pump Tetra APS, to ensure a sufficient supply of oxygen. It is advisable to remove dead algae mechanically with a net to prevent them from affecting water quality. To sustainably prevent the growth of new algae after treatment, it is important to limit nutrients responsible for their development, such as phosphates and nitrates, by using, for example, Tetra EasyBalance. As a precaution, it is also possible to regularly apply a special anti-algae product that slowly releases its active substance into the water, similar to Tetra Algetten*, for aquariums with a capacity of up to 40 litres, or Tetra AlgoStop depot*, for medium or large aquariums.
