Description
This high quality Baucher double snaffle bit, with ringed upward pointing prongs and leverage, is made of solid Cuprigan with stainless steel rings. Cuprigan is an alloy of 89% copper, 7% aluminium, 3% iron and 1% zinc. The material's oxidation process spreads a pleasant smell and taste. The anatomical design follows the shape of the horse's mouth, creating a smooth, even pressure distribution. The combination of Cuprigan's design and unique composition help stimulate chewing and salivation, resulting in a delicate bond with the horse's sensitive mouth. The upward-pointing temples with a ring are turned slightly outwards, ensuring optimum freedom for the horse's head. The thickness of the canon is 16 mm and the length of the shanks is 110 mm.
A Baucher bit has ascending legs with a ring for attachment to the uprights. Unlike autres snaffles, this bit has a little leverage and exerts pressure behind the ears. The bit is ideal for sensitive horses.
The canon bit is in three parts. The central part of the canon lies flat on the tongue. This creates more pressure on the tongue than with a single bit. The thicker the central part, the greater the pressure on the tongue.
