This bit is made of black steel and copper, creating an alloy that promotes salivation. Black steel and copper oxidize slowly and rust. This oxidation is harmless to horses and has a pleasant taste that encourages salivation. The rest of the bit is made of stainless steel and cannot rust. Bits: 13mm and 70mm stainless steel rings.
