Description
The beveled bit allows for a little more leverage and control, promoting responsiveness and proper head carriage. Combined with a brass alloy mouthpiece, this is an ideal bit for horses that need a little more braking power but may have a sensitive mouth. The double-jointed mouthpiece offers greater comfort in the horse's mouth because it prevents pinching of the lips and bars of the mouth, while reducing the nutcracker action of a single-jointed bit.
A central pad helps distribute pressure on the tongue and mouth bars, encouraging mouthing and contact. Brass alloy is formed when copper is alloyed with a harder metal, producing a warm, durable material that is perfect for horse bits because it can facilitate salivation and be more palatable to the horse.
