Description
The Universal Bit combines probing pressure and leverage and is ideal for those who need a little more control. The blue soft iron mouthpiece oxidizes easily, creating a warm feeling and sweet taste in the horse's mouth, helping him accept the bit. Please note that the blue color fades with use, which is normal.
Also known as a bit continental, it works by lifting the bit into the horse's mouth in the same manner as a traditional gag, but without the same severity. Probing pressure can be applied using the lower rings. A softer option than the three-ring Dutch gag, this bit is ideal for cavaliers who need a little more control when jumping or doing work rapide, but don't need massive pressure on the neck.

Blue soft iron horse bits...
Blue soft iron bits oxidize easily, creating a warm, sweet taste in the horse's mouth, causing him to salivate. Some horses often prefer the warm feeling of soft iron over stainless steel which is naturally cooler. This makes soft iron bits ideal for sensitive horses or horses that need to be encouraged to put the bit in their mouth and accept it.
Pair your universal horse bit with one of our anatomical bridles.

2. Use a sponge or soft cloth to wipe off any excess debris on the bit, paying particular attention to the joints and hinges.
3. Allow to dry naturally.
