These felt saddle pads with bright, decorative finishes are made from high-quality original wool felt, and the abrasive part is made from sturdy cowhide.

The cushion is equipped with an 8-pocket EDIX system and is included with felt inlays for the top pockets. BUT as expected in the EDIX assortment, where all inlays are included, in this pad no felt is included for long inlays. (Felt wedges for toppockets are therefore included!) We advise if necessary to order a thick (20mm) or thin (5.5mm) mesh 3 inlay along this pad. Using another inlay material will considerably improve pressure distribution. The 3 meshes will also ensure that there is airflow under the saddle.

Merino sheep are prized for their fine fur and considered to possess wool of the highest quality. Felt made from this material is distinguished by its softness and durability. It is water, dirt and flame resistant, does not wrinkle, stretch or lint, and ensures that the rider's pressure is perfectly distributed over the entire surface.

The pads are produced in 6 different designs and we have a hackmore bridle in Argentinian leather, with matching nosebands made from hand-woven beats, similar to the design of the upper fabrics on this saddle pad. There will also be matching cantle bags .

These pads are a perfect alternative to the EDIX merino sheepskin round skirts, as they help prevent slipping on very round horses.

How to care for your EDIX wool felt saddle pad :

• Dried sweat can be easily removed with the included brush.
• Small stains can be gently hand-washed with soap and brushed under running water;
• Dry in a natural environment. Do not dry directly on a heat source or in direct sunlight;
• Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron;
• To care for the abrasive part of the leather, we recommend using Oakwood leather conditioner.
