The cushion has a fur collar for extra softness at the withers and is anatomically shaped. On both sides of the back, there are 2 large pockets inside and 3 small ones on top for inlays, all with felt inserts. Of course, it's possible to choose a different type of insert to suit your needs. As the cushion is equipped with 8 inserts, there are several possibilities for using the cushion to distribute pressure more evenly or to position the saddle differently. Where the rider's leg rubs during riding, nylon reinforcements have been added to prevent wear and tear.
The new EDIX Merino mattresses' free spine channel, with shaved merino fur, has been developed to reduce pressure points and offer the best protection for your horse's spine. In addition, the merino fur pad has a large surface area, so that the saddle panels rest entirely on it. In this way, the natural fibers effectively distribute moisture from perspiration outwards, while distributing pressure and absorbing shock.
