Premium-quality, anatomically-shaped universal half-cushion made with original merino fur. The EDIX half-cushion features 2 large and 6 small compartments, including felt inserts. Wool is antibacterial, therapeutic, heat and moisture regulating, improves pressure distribution and prevents chafing.
The cushion is made of quilted cotton, with an underside entirely of high-quality genuine merino fur. The cushion has a shaved back spinal canal and has been developed to reduce the risk of pressure points and provide optimum protection. This space guarantees freedom of movement for the spine. On each side of the spine, there are 2 large compartments inside and 3 small compartments for inserts on top, all with felt inserts. Of course, it's possible to choose a different type of insert if required. As the pad has 8 compartments, there are several possibilities for distributing pressure more evenly with the pad, or for positioning the saddle differently. The hafpad is also known as a correction path.
High-quality merino wool is probably one of the most technically advanced materials in the world. Using the entire original hide instead of shorn and woven wool makes the most of the advantages of this natural material. We therefore recommend using the wool directly on the horse's back.
The new free spinal channel of EDIX Merino pads, with closely shorn Merino wool, has been developed to reduce pressure points and offer the best possible protection to your horse's spine.
