A fully flexible pommel for extremely sensitive horses or horses with temporary withers problems.

Normally, a fiberglass pommel is supplied as standard in an EDIX® saddle. A fiberglass pommel is the only rigid part of the saddle and must be chosen to fit each horse.
A pommel ensures that the horse's withers remain free of pressure and that the left and right sides of the saddle are held together, so that spinal freedom is guaranteed.

For horses with very narrow, high withers, an extremely high pommel can be ordered, and for horses with very round, wide withers, an XL pommel can be ordered. In the case of extremely sensitive horses, or where old problems around the withers quickly reappear, a complete soft pommel may offer a solution. This soft pommel is totally flexible.

With prolonged use, the saddle may lose its strength and shape. We recommend using this pommel only temporarily in case of injury, and regularly checking the fit of the saddle not only at the withers, but also over the whole spine in case of prolonged use.

In most cases, an XL-sized fiberglass pommel is a better choice.
