Form follows function

Based on the principle that "form follows function", the tendon protector XO2 offers your horse perfect protection without compromising on comfort. The tendon protector perfectly wraps around the horse's leg, covering only where it’s necessary. The shell is slightly thicker at the back and on the sides of the fetlock, providing maximum protection in these crucial areas.

Outer shell:

The special feature of the shell is its anatomical shape that adapts to the horse's leg, perfectly following its contours. The unique shape of the shell offers protection where needed, but it is also lighter than other tendon protectors: up to 10% lighter! Your horse maintains perfect freedom of movement and is never hindered by the tendon protectors.

The shell is hard for good protection, yet extremely flexible to conform well to the shape of the horse's leg. Strategically placed ventilation holes ensure that the tendon does not overheat.

Lining:

The protector is lined with our specially developed Air Liner, a thermoformed lining made from a material that gives it optimal properties. The lining further cushions impacts, thanks to the air present in the spaces created by the material, as a result of its composition. During an impact or shock, the air escapes through the extremely breathable lining and the ventilation holes. This ensures your horse is perfectly protected from impacts.

Fastenings:

It is also very important that the tendon protectors are equipped with suitable fastenings. If the tendon protector is too loose, it can cause irritation, but if it is too tight, it can impede blood circulation. The fastening straps are slightly elastic and feature a hook-and-loop system, so the tendon protector can always be positioned correctly and properly adjusted. With the rounded shell, they have a streamlined appearance and fit the horse's leg perfectly.
