How is it made and why?

Merino lambs are sheared and then the wool is sewn onto the fabric. No sheep are harmed during the making of this pad.

Care instructions

Regularly on hand:
Let it dry between uses.
Place the pad wool side up in a cool environment. In humid climates, you can use a fan to blow on the pad. Once the pad is dry, brush it lightly to keep the wool fluffy and elastic for the next ride.

Washing and drying: Use a suitable sheep's wool soap to keep your pad under warranty. You can use the washing machine on a wool or delicate cycle, cold. Remove excess water from the pad by wringing it out or placing it in the washing machine on the lowest spin cycle.

Hand wash. Fill a sufficiently large tub with water and add sheep wool soap. Soak for 1 hour, pressing the soap and water through the item from time to time. Press or wring out to eliminate excess water and dry the wool skin on a rack or rail with the fleece side up. Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat and the tumble dryer.

If the care instructions are correctly followed, our sheepskin pads should last 4 to 6 years.
