The show rug is one of Kentucky Horsewear's most iconic products. It has been designed to provide an easy and comfortable cover during competitions. Since the show rug also serves as a stable rug, you can unload your horse without worrying about changing rugs.

Fabrics and Materials
The show rug is made from high tenacity 600D polyester with elegant and timeless diamond stitching. This makes the rug incredibly tear-resistant and prevents shavings from sticking to it. To prevent any pressure on the shoulder and withers, the collar of the Show Rug is made from our popular artificial sheepskin. In addition to its stylish appearance, the artificial sheepskin is also much more comfortable. For example, when the horse eats, the rug will not press down on its chest. The rug is filled with 160 g of padding fibres, which have the same performance as down but do not absorb odours. To avoid chafing marks, the rug is lined with our artificial rabbit fur. This fabric is extremely soft and creates a shiny effect on the horse's coat. Additionally, the artificial rabbit fur creates tiny air pockets. These pockets trap and retain the horse's body heat, creating an extra insulating layer. The combination of these materials creates a highly breathable rug with a high warmth-to-weight ratio.

Shape and Size
The Show Rug has an anatomical shape, and thanks to the artificial rabbit fur, you don't have to worry about the rug's position as it always stays in place. For better pressure distribution, the front flaps close like a Z, and the front closures are easily adjustable for a better fit. The cross surcingles are also adjustable and detachable. Because of the flexibility of the show rug, it can be used for multiple purposes and combined with other Kentucky Horsewear rugs.

The buckles are made of stainless steel and therefore do not rust. The straps of the show rug are made from the same strapping as safety belts, making them very strong. The brass finish of the buckles and the pieces of artificial leather give the rug a very chic appearance.

Care Guide
In addition to the chic look, we found it important to have easy-care products. That’s why the elastic tail strap is covered in plastic and the rug is washable. When washed at 30 degrees and with no dryer used, the quality of the materials remains optimal.
